Lasers by the River

What could you do to help the environment? I chose to do a laser light show with music next to the Chicago River to show my neighborhood how they are affecting the planet. I wanted to do it in an interesting way which includes lasers and music. As far as I know, no one has done this before, and I think it would be interesting to see lasers showing the impact that we have on the planet along with a song that talks about climate change. My idea for something I can do for my block would be putting on a performance with music and lights and maybe some visuals at night. The music I'm going to be playing Is Billie Elish’s All The Good Girls Go to Hell . If I wanted to do this I might need some lights, a laser light projector, a projector screen, and speakers. I would show images of plants, animals, and damage to the environment. I think it will help my neighborhood because it will show how beautiful nature is and why we should strive to protect it. It would be a good thing for people

Joint review of Jurassic Park 1

For this Action Project, we are supposed to make a 3 to 4-minute film with us reviewing a movie. Then we are supposed to review and critique different things in pre-production, production, and post-production. Which is stuff we learned. My partner and I chose the first Jurassic Park movie. I personally enjoyed working with a partner to do this project. If I had more time I would make the review longer. Some things that were challenging about the project were splitting up the work evenly I feel I could have done more work. Underneath you will find my partner and I's review.

A Raisin in The Sun Greek Chorus

Should someone risk all of their money and relationships for a dream? This is the question I asked 9 people. Their response was overly positive. The theme of our class Drama was looking at female roles in plays and looking at gender norms. The play we read this term was called A Raisin in The Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. One way Gender types are challenged in the play is that the father is dead and the mother is the matriarch of the family. In this Action Project, we were challenged to write a Greek Chorus talking to a character in the play I chose Walter the Son of the family. A social issue I chose to talk about was racism. In conclusion, I enjoyed the theme of looking at social issues In the course. Something I enjoyed about the Action Project was writing the commentary talking to Walter. Something I found difficult was writing anything good about Walter.
