A Raisin in The Sun Greek Chorus

 Should someone risk all of their money and relationships for a dream? This is the question I asked 9 people. Their response was overly positive. The theme of our class Drama was looking at female roles in plays and looking at gender norms. The play we read this term was called A Raisin in The Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. One way Gender types are challenged in the play is that the father is dead and the mother is the matriarch of the family. In this Action Project, we were challenged to write a Greek Chorus talking to a character in the play I chose Walter the Son of the family. A social issue I chose to talk about was racism. In conclusion, I enjoyed the theme of looking at social issues In the course. Something I enjoyed about the Action Project was writing the commentary talking to Walter. Something I found difficult was writing anything good about Walter.
