Lasers by the River

What could you do to help the environment? I chose to do a laser light show with music next to the Chicago River to show my neighborhood how they are affecting the planet. I wanted to do it in an interesting way which includes lasers and music. As far as I know, no one has done this before, and I think it would be interesting to see lasers showing the impact that we have on the planet along with a song that talks about climate change. My idea for something I can do for my block would be putting on a performance with music and lights and maybe some visuals at night. The music I'm going to be playing Is Billie Elish’s All The Good Girls Go to Hell . If I wanted to do this I might need some lights, a laser light projector, a projector screen, and speakers. I would show images of plants, animals, and damage to the environment. I think it will help my neighborhood because it will show how beautiful nature is and why we should strive to protect it. Joint review of Jurassic Park 1

For this Action Project, we are supposed to make a 3 to 4-minute film with us reviewing a movie. Then we are supposed to review and critique different things in pre-production, production, and post-production. Which is stuff we learned. My partner and I chose the first Jurassic Park movie. I personally enjoyed working with a partner to do this project. If I had more time I would make the review longer. Some things that were challenging about the project were splitting up the work evenly I feel I could have done more work. Underneath you will find my partner and I's review.

Why Foraging is Better Than Farming

Based on historical evidence, foraging is better than farming. To begin, early foraging in Africa required less work than farming. For example, foraging only required work for six hours per day while farming required approximately nine and a half hours per day. This information shows that foraging was not as big of a time commitment compared to farming. Also, research shows that foragers could move from place to place while farmers had to stay in one place. Farmers were vulnerable to natural disasters and bad weather. However, foragers could move to find new food sources. This shows that foraging is better than farming because there are not as many variables that could interfere with their ability to get food. Finally, research shows that foraging gave people in Southwest Africa a higher chance of survival.
